The Barn & the Croft House
Like many island houses, the original blackhouse and the croft house next door were built close to each other. They share parking, but with different orientations, neither overlooks the other. The back garden feels very private and looks out on open croft land and hills where only nosey sheep will disturb your peace.
Although the accommodation is on a single floor, steps at the front door and from the kitchen into the sitting room may be problematic for wheelchair users and the corridor leading to the bedrooms is narrow.
WiFi and Mobile
Unlimited WiFi is provided and, although it works at a slower Island speed, it can still be used for streaming.
Mobile reception is limited. Reception is best at the front door and in the kitchen, but will depend on your network provider.
Children
The countryside and beaches around Reef are perfect for exploring. Check out the publication ‘Discovering Uig’ - provided on the main bookcase and sold at the local shop - to help plan your trips.

Dogs
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at the Barn. Please keep them off the furniture and the beds and pick up any mess they leave in the garden well before your departure so that it does not soil the grass.
The house is surrounded by working croft land and it is vital they are kept under control around livestock. Do not take risks and, if in any doubt how your dog behaves around sheep, keep them on a lead. Remember that even if not actually chasing sheep, your enthusiastic rabbit chaser may nevertheless be worrying them. The garden is fenced, but if your dog is a determined escape artist, do not leave them unattended outside and ensure the gate is closed.
More than two dogs are accepted by prior arrangement only.
